As I walked in, the overhead projector showed a picture of me at Miss Arkansas and the title was "No Livin' La Vida Loca!" haha! I loved it! I spoke for around 40 minutes and shared with them an autobiography that included pictures and music. I also had a demonstration on purity where twelve students rinsed their mouth out with water and spit it ito a vase. The students were disgusted with the water and I think I got my point across!
After the program was over, I got to speak one on one with a few girls and guys. I was reminded of the caliber of students we have in the church! I was so impressed with their strength of character and willingness to be open. They truly desire a pure life, and it is so encouraging to hear that message from our youth today! :)
On the way home from the Searcy area, I killed my first deer. I didn't swerve at all, and instead plowed into the backside of the deer with my front right corner of my car. I distinctly remember the deer shattering and guts and blood flying from the animal. We pulled over to see that the deer successfully removed the entire right corner of my car, including the right head light. Paw Paw came to my rescue and sent a tow truck to pick up my car. Whew! What a night!!
This is the screen I saw when I walked in! haha
Some of the students!
